Jodd Fairs
A trendy open-air night market near Rama 9 with colourful tent stalls, creative street food, and a lively young atmosphere.
Jodd Fairs emerged as one of Bangkok’s trendiest night markets after the original Rod Fai Market closed, and it quickly became a favourite with both young Thais and visitors. Located near the Rama 9 area, it’s open Thursday through Sunday from around 16:00 to midnight (hours can vary — check their social media for updates). The closest MRT station is Phra Ram 9, about a 10-minute walk, or you can grab a quick taxi or motorbike from the station.
The market is known for its rainbow-coloured tent tops, giving it a distinctive look that photographs well after dark. The food section is the main draw, with vendors serving everything from giant grilled seafood platters and Korean corn dogs to creative Thai fusion dishes. The famous “fire mountain” stir-fry stalls with dramatic high-flame cooking are a spectacle worth watching. Budget around 100–300 baht per person for a satisfying food crawl.
Beyond food, Jodd Fairs has sections for vintage clothing, secondhand sneakers, handmade accessories, and quirky homewares. It’s smaller and more manageable than Chatuchak, making it a good night-market option if you have limited time. The atmosphere is relaxed and social — many visitors come as much for the vibe and people-watching as for the shopping. Arrive early (before 18:00) to beat the heaviest crowds, or come later for the full night-market energy.
