MRT is the umbrella used for the Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Pink lines in this guide. Together they include underground metro, elevated heavy rail, and monorail services, but they should not be treated as one identical operating or ticketing system.

The Blue Line is the main central cross-city line, useful for Sukhumvit, Silom, Chinatown, Chatuchak, and old-town access. Purple, Yellow, and Pink extend the useful network into different outer corridors and interchanges.

12 station records are marked with interchange or multi-line context. A transfer can involve a walk, a new paid area, and a different ticket system, so confirm the named stations instead of assuming the coloured lines share a platform.

MRT tickets and live service information

Payment methods differ by line. Blue and Purple line information comes from BEM, while Yellow and Pink information should be checked with MRTA and the current operator. Do not assume a Rabbit or MRT card works across every line.
