Central Embassy
Bangkok's most exclusive luxury mall housing high-end designer brands, the Open House co-working library, and Eathai — one of the city's best food halls.
Central Embassy is the crown jewel of the Central Group retail empire, positioned as Bangkok’s most premium shopping destination. Designed by the London-based practice AL_A (Amanda Levete), the building’s undulating façade and flowing interior spaces set it apart architecturally from every other mall in the city. It connects directly to BTS Phloen Chit and sits next to the British Embassy compound in the Ratchaprasong area.
The mall houses brands you won’t find in other Bangkok locations: Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Loewe, and Maison Margiela alongside the usual luxury anchors. The lower floors are pure high-end retail, while the upper floors shift toward lifestyle, dining, and culture. Central Embassy attracts a deliberately curated tenant mix — it’s selective rather than comprehensive.
Two standout features justify a visit even if luxury shopping isn’t your thing. Eathai on the lower ground floor is one of Bangkok’s finest food halls, showcasing regional Thai cuisine from every province — Isaan grilled meats, Southern curries, Northern khao soi, Bangkok-style noodles — all in a beautifully designed space with communal seating. Meals run 80–200 baht. Open House on the top floor combines a bookshop, library, co-working space, and café with dramatic double-height ceilings — a genuinely pleasant place to spend a few hours reading or working.
Central Embassy is part of the Central Group’s portfolio that also includes CentralWorld, Central Chidlom, and branches across Bangkok and Thailand. Each targets a different market segment, but they share the Central branding, loyalty programme (The 1 card), and service standards.
The Ratchaprasong location connects via skywalks to CentralWorld, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, and further to Siam Paragon. You could walk from Central Embassy to MBK Center entirely under cover — a huge advantage during monsoon season.
