Terminal 21

A unique airport-themed mall where each floor represents a different city, with one of Bangkok's best food courts on the top level.

Terminal 21 stands out from Bangkok’s many malls with its airport and travel theme — each floor is designed after a different world city, from Tokyo and London to Istanbul and San Francisco. It sits directly above BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations, making it one of the most accessible malls in the city. Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, the creative interiors and photo-worthy decorations make it worth a visit even if you’re not buying anything.

The real draw for many visitors is Pier 21, the food court on the top floor (and arguably the best mall food court in Bangkok). Meals here start from as low as 35 baht — you load a card at the entrance and tap to pay at each stall. The selection covers everything from pad thai and som tam to Japanese curry and mango sticky rice. Any unused balance is refundable at the service counter.

Shopping-wise, Terminal 21 leans toward affordable Thai fashion brands, independent boutiques, and trendy accessories. It’s not the place for international luxury labels, but you’ll find stylish, inexpensive clothing and unique local designs. The San Francisco floor houses electronics and phone accessories, while the London and Istanbul floors are strongest for fashion. The basement level connects to the BTS/MRT interchange, so you can slip in and out without ever stepping outside.
