Mahidol University consistently ranks as one of Thailand’s top research universities and is particularly strong in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health, and life sciences.
The main campus is in Salaya (Nakhon Pathom province), but the Siriraj campus in Bangkok hosts the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, and several health science programs adjacent to Siriraj Hospital — one of Thailand’s largest public hospitals.
The Bangkok campus is most relevant for students interested in medical and health-related postgraduate programs. It is accessible by MRT Blue Line through Itsaraphap or Bang Khun Non, or by boat to Wang Lang pier, then a short walk or taxi.
Mahidol’s international graduate and research programs are conducted largely in English. Undergraduate places at the Bangkok campus are primarily through competitive Thai-language pathways.
