Category: hotel

District: Sathon district in Bangkok

Area: Sathorn

The Banyan Tree Bangkok rises 61 storeys above Sathorn, one of the city’s primary business and diplomatic districts. Every unit is a suite, starting from 60 sqm — significantly larger than standard Bangkok hotel rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic city views, particularly dramatic from the higher floors facing north toward the river bend.

The hotel is best known for Vertigo and Moon Bar, the open-air rooftop restaurant and bar perched on the 61st floor. It’s one of Bangkok’s original and still most dramatic rooftop dining experiences — arrive before sunset to watch the city light up. Reservations are essential, especially on weekends. Smart casual dress code applies (no shorts or flip-flops).

The Banyan Tree Spa occupies an entire floor and is one of the most respected hotel spas in Southeast Asia. Signature treatments like the Rainforest experience and traditional Royal Thai massage draw spa enthusiasts from across the city. The spa has won numerous international awards and maintains consistently high standards.

Location-wise, the Banyan Tree is in the Sathorn-Silom corridor, within walking distance of MRT Lumphini station and Lumphini Park. BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Si Lom are accessible by taxi or hotel shuttle. The surrounding area has excellent dining options, including the nearby Silom entertainment district.

Suite rates start from approximately 6,000–10,000 THB per night. The combination of generous suite sizes, the legendary rooftop, and the spa makes it a strong choice for couples and business travellers.
