The newest addition to The EM District at Phrom Phong, a lifestyle mall with a rooftop concert venue, food market, and experiential retail.
EmSphere is the third and newest building in The EM District at BTS Phrom Phong, joining EmQuartier and The Emporium to create a three-mall complex connected by skywalks. Opened in late 2023, it brings a more entertainment-and-experience-focused concept to the cluster.
The mall’s signature feature is the rooftop concert and events venue, which has quickly become one of Bangkok’s premier live music destinations — hosting both international acts and Thai artists. Below that, the retail floors mix experiential retail concepts, pop-up brand activations, and a curated selection of fashion and lifestyle stores. The approach is less about traditional shopping and more about creating social destinations.
The food market on the lower floors brings together a mix of popular Bangkok restaurants and new-to-market concepts in an upscale food hall format. It’s a strong dining destination in its own right, beyond the shopping component. Several anchor restaurants have opened flagship locations here.
The Phrom Phong location means excellent BTS access and easy combination with the other EM District malls. The area is one of Bangkok’s most affluent residential neighbourhoods, with a strong Japanese and Korean expat presence reflected in the dining options throughout the neighbourhood. EmQuartier’s rooftop garden and The Emporium’s Gourmet Market are both a skywalk away.
Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 (entertainment venues stay open later). EmSphere represents the direction Bangkok’s retail development is heading — experiences and events rather than pure product retail.
