Wat Ratcha Orasaram, historically called Wat Chom Thong, is one of the district’s defining landmarks. The temple was restored under Prince Jetsadabodin, later King Rama III, and is known for architectural and decorative choices influenced by Chinese art.
The temple sits by Khlong Dan and the Maeklong railway corridor, away from Bangkok’s main rapid-transit network. Go for the temple itself rather than combining it casually with central sights. Dress respectfully, keep noise low and remember that active worship areas are not museum galleries.
