The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon
A stylish design hotel in Bangkok's tallest building, offering rooftop dining, a sprawling pool deck, and vibrant nightlife energy in Silom.
The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon occupies the base of King Power MahaNakhon, Bangkok’s tallest building, in the Silom district of Bang Rak. The hotel’s entrance on Naradhiwas Road is a 5-minute walk from BTS Chong Nonsi, putting the entire Silom-Sathorn corridor within easy reach.
True to The Standard brand, the design is bold and playful — a departure from the polished neutrality of traditional Bangkok luxury hotels. The lobby doubles as a social space with revolving art installations, and the rooms feature bold colour accents, custom furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows. It attracts a younger, design-savvy crowd alongside business travellers looking for something with more personality.
The pool deck on the 6th floor is one of the hotel’s biggest draws: a large, well-designed space with loungers, cabanas, a poolside bar, and DJs on weekends. The rooftop spaces at the top of the tower include Ojo, a Mexican restaurant with panoramic views, and the famous Mahanakhon SkyBar. The ground-floor Parlor restaurant serves all-day dining with a buzzy, casual energy.
The Silom location means easy access to Lumphini Park, the Sathorn business district, and BTS/MRT interchanges. The adjacent King Power MahaNakhon observation deck (SkyWalk) is separately ticketed but worth visiting for the glass-floor experience.
Room rates start from around 4,000–7,000 THB per night, positioning it at the entry point of luxury. The Standard is best suited to travellers who want style, energy, and nightlife access — it’s not the place for a quiet retreat, but it delivers on atmosphere.
