Bumrungrad International Hospital is Bangkok’s most internationally known private hospital and one of the largest private hospitals in Southeast Asia. It treats over a million patients annually from more than 190 countries.
The hospital offers a full range of specialist departments including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, neurology, and reproductive medicine. The main building has a hotel-lobby atmosphere that can feel unfamiliar if you are expecting a traditional hospital environment.
Staff speak English throughout, and the hospital has dedicated international patient services, visa support for medical tourists, and a well-organised insurance and billing desk familiar with most major international health insurance providers.
Emergency care is available 24 hours. Walk-in appointments for most departments are possible, though specialist consultations may require booking.
Location is excellent for central Bangkok residents — Nana BTS is a short walk, and Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT are about 10 minutes on foot.
Costs are the highest of any Bangkok hospital. For planned procedures, request a written cost estimate in advance.
