Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai

A well-connected mid-range hotel bridging the BTS and Airport Rail Link at Phaya Thai, popular with business travellers and transit-savvy visitors.

Category: hotel

District: Ratchathewi district in Bangkok

Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai has one of the most convenient transport connections of any hotel in Bangkok: it links directly via skywalk to BTS Phaya Thai station, which is also the terminus of the Airport Rail Link (ARL). This means you can go from Suvarnabhumi Airport to your hotel room without stepping outside — rare for a mid-range property.

The hotel occupies a 33-storey tower in Ratchathewi district, close to the Victory Monument area. Rooms are contemporary and well-maintained if not especially distinctive, with the Executive floors offering lounge access with complimentary breakfast and evening drinks. Views improve significantly above the 20th floor.

The swimming pool on the 14th floor is a decent size with good city views. There’s a basic spa and a well-equipped fitness centre. Dining is handled by the Expressions restaurant (international buffet and à la carte) and the Glass Bar lobby lounge. The surrounding Phaya Thai area has plenty of affordable street food and local restaurants.

What makes this hotel stand out is pure practicality. The direct ARL connection means early-morning airport runs are stress-free. The BTS takes you to Siam in two stops or to Sukhumvit in under ten minutes. For business travellers with meetings across the city, or visitors who value easy access over neighbourhood character, Eastin Grand is hard to fault.

Room rates are very competitive at approximately 2,000–3,500 THB per night, making it one of the better-value options with genuine BTS connectivity. The hotel is a reliable, well-run choice rather than a destination in itself.
